Wkuimitox, Friday. After the Bating on Unimproved Value Bill had passed through Committee at 3 a.m. to-day, objection was taken to going on with more business at such a late hour, but the motion to report progress was lost by 32 to 10. Captain Russell, Sir R. Stout and ,others entered a strong protest against these lato sittings, but Mr Seddon said thero was, at present, no work for the Legislative Council, and unless the Houso did something the other Chamber would bo at a standstill. ThoHouso had practically wasted two nights this week, Avory long discussion ousucd, but at 5,10 a.m. a compromise was effected and the Lake-Forsyth Drainage Bill was put through Committee and subsequently through its final stages. Tho Houso rose at 6,45 a,m,
