NORTH WAIRARAPA GUN CLUB.
Meeting of Members, A meeting of members of the abovo Club was held last evening, tho President, Mr E. M. D, Whatman, presiding, The rough balance sheet was presented, showing the financial position of tho Club to be highly satisfactory. Tho Secrotary recommended that tho season should be concluded with a match in which a prize of L 25 bo given.
It was finally resolved that a Handicap Sweepstake be fired, the day after the Masterton Show, and that the stake be L2O, and that it beaten bird match. The Secretary was instructed to obtain 250 birds for tho match.
It was resolved that a triangular match be arranged by the Secretary, to be fired at Woodvillc, between teams from Wnnganui, Hawko's Bay, and Masterton Gun Clubs, teams to consist of seven members, each team to put up L'2o, winners to take proceeds and gate money to bo divided, and tho match-if possible • to be fired between the 12th and loth October,
The annual meeting was adjourned until Friday, 26th October. Several notices of motion to alter the rules wcro given, tho principal being by Mr C. E. Cockburn-Hood, " That the gun must be clear below the elbow until after the bird is on wing," Other unimportant business was transacted and the meeting adjourned.
