Dunedin, Tuesday/ A woman named Annie McMeikan, aged 80, died suddenly at her Bpn's house, this morning,. She had been an invalid for many years. At the inquest a man named Warrington gavo evidence that while working within 50 yards ,of the house Inst Wednesday he heard the sou of tho deceased using foul language in the house, and a noise as if someone had fallen,' Afterthathe could hear the woman plead for mercy, and ask her son not to kill her. He reported the matter to the police. The Coroner said that after this evidence tho enquiry must bo adjoumod to allow a post mortem examination to be niado. '»
