(From Our Own Correspondent),
Monday. On Friday evening last, at a meeting of the Management Committee for tbo forthcoming bull, it was resolved that all the ladies, and gentlemen's Gommittcessliould meet next Saturday evening, ivlion, after transacting all their business, those wishing to dunce will be allowed to do so, and ns there will be music- for them, it will give the floor a good beginning.
People arc very glad that it has been finally decided that (he old toll house on the Rimntaka hill is to be abolished, and that the Road Board has decided to answer the wish for its removal as expressed some time sinco by those residing in its immediate vicinity. It has been resolved by the Management Oomniittes for the forthcoming Ball, that Mr Buchanan, M.H.R., be asked to open tho Hall on July 19th.
Our local football team is justly indignant with the To Oro Ore. They journeyed to Carterton on Saturday to meet the Native team, but the latter never turned up, nor sent any word in explanation of their non-appearance,
