A meeting to dotormino tbe proceedings for the opening of 'the new | Town Hall, was held in the OddI fellows' Hall on Wednesday evening,' It was resolved that a ball should be lield, tho dato to bo fixed later on. A strong general committee was formed, and it was resolved that tho general committee should meet in tho Oddfellows' Hall on Thursday ovening next, at 7.30, to arrange working committees, etc., and that a ladies' committee meeting should bo held on the same afternoon, at 3 p.m. Mr p. Kent-Johnston was appointed Secretary aud Mr Bobertson (manager I of tho Hank of N.Z.) Treasurer,
