The Unemployed and the Storekeepers. [To The Emtou W.D. Timks.] Sir,—With reference to a paragraph in your paper of Tuesday, relating to the miomploycdwho were working on the slip at Mauriccvillc, ami who,you say, refused to pay the storekeepers, I wish to state ourside of the question, The solo causo of the row was through the proprietor of tho Mauriceville Hotel breaking his agreement, and refusing us tucker whereby wo lost a day's work. After coming from work on Monday morning, we had breakfast, and when we wont into ten, wo were told to "clearout." We did so, and went to Eketahunaby tho morning's train, mill put up ftttlie Temperance Hotel, whero we are still staying—those who are not paid off, I must say we arotrcatedhorolikeiuen—lcnnspoak for my mates—and we shall return the compliment.
