CARTERTON NOTES.
(By Telegraph. Own Correspondent) Carterton, Thursday.. No special damage is reported »b resulting from the galein this district yesterday. A shed and contents at South Carterton, including a buggy, five saddles and harness, the property of Mr Rntliorford has -been, destroyed by fire. There was no insurance. It appears that someone had been smoking beacon in an adjoining building, and the high wind fanned tlie flames.
