UPPER TAUERU ROAD BOARD

Meeting, ■BP^ —« The ordinary meeting of tho above Board was held on May sth. Present, the Chairman, Messrs Macßae, Mil ler, McKay and Perry. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Correspondence was received from D. Miller, enclosing rates,-From Commissioner of Crown Lands, in payment of thirds and fourthsFrom Receiver of Land Revenue, Stating that thirds and fonrths have been .paid to Boards account, at the Bank ofAustralasia.—From Maurice ville fioad Board, re ratepayer transferred,—From Secretary to Treasury, re application for loan.—From County Clerk, re alteration of road district boundaries.—From County Clerk, 1 enclosing copy of special erder dis solving the Board.—From J. AV. Xang, enclosing rate;.

Bcsolved, That tho Clerk be instructed to take the necessary steps lor raising a loan of 1500 lor forming a road up the Mungaparapara Greek. —The rate of wages be paid to the roadmen be continued,—That notice be given of the intention of the Board to strike a general rale of one halfpenny in the all the rateable property in tbe c\rict, at their next ordinary meeting. - Accounts amounting to £22 Gs 8d were passed for payment. The next meeting of the Board to be held on the first Saturday in June,
