STOCK SALE REPORT.
Messrs Lowes and lorna held their ordinary stock sale at their jßenallatreot yards yeaterdaT. The yards were well filled with both sheep and cattle, and a large crowd attended the sale, but judging from results, more as anxious watchers of the state of the market than as buyers. The demand for sheep was weak, and prices, except for fat and forwards, Buffered a considerable decline. We quitted wethers at from 6s 6d for small 2-tooth to 9s for fat forward i tooth; forward ewes from 63 to 7s; fat ewes 83 6d; breeding ewes, old, fiom 2s fid to 43, better quality is Gd to Gs; boilers, Is 6d to la 9d; lambs, 8s to 5s 7d; culled ditto, almost unsaleable at any price. 150 head of cattle were yarded and sold at late ruteß, except beef, whioh was considerably lower. Fat steers, £slos, being about 16s 6d per 1001b; fresh conditioned uteers, 90s; 18 month steers, 45a; yearlings, 29s to 38s; calves, !28s to 255; dairy heifers, from 503 to 67b 6d; dairy cows, from 90s to £6. 12s 6d. A number of horses changed bands, draughts from £ls to £lO, hacks and light harness £6 to £B, light backs from £2 to £7,
