Thursday. The monthly meeting of the School Committee was held last night, The minutes of tbo previous meeting were read and confirmed. Tho Treasnrer'B balance was reported at 12s 4d, There was ouly one account for payment, amounting to £2 3s4d. Correspondence read from the Education Board, enclosing capitation gran! of £Bl6s, The Headmaster's repott was read, and found to be eatisfactory. A vote of thanks was paseod to Miss Fellingham, who hud been transferred to Maryborough, for her pist services to tho school, which abe gave gratuitously,
The olection of a warden for No, 1 sub-district of the ltoad Board takes place 1 0-day, the two candidates being Messrs Nix and Coleman Phillips, It is hard to foretell which will boreturned, as both have a party of warm supportora, Another consignment of thirteen trucks of sheep for tho Export and Gear Co. went down this morning.
