WEDDING AT CARTERTON.
(l'rom Correspondent,) One of those social events in which young people take delight—a wedding -was celebrated at the Weeleyan Church, Carterton, yesterday, the principals being Miss Cave, eldest daughter of Mr F, Cave, of this town, and Mr O. Lumley, storeman at Messrs K. Fairbrother & Son's. The Rev. 8. J. Gibson officiated, the churoh being well filled with onlookers. The bride was tastefully dressed in a fawn cashmere and wore a wreath-of orange bloseoms and bridal veil. Her bridesmaids, Miss Annie Cave, sister of the bride, and Miss Ohallis, wore pretty blue cashmere dresses trimmed with white, lace and hats to matoh, and horse shoe gold brooches inlaid with diamond and ruby stones, the present of the bridegroom. The' blushing bride was given away by her father, and Mr W, Bridge acted as best man to tbe slightly nervous bridegroom. | After tho ceremony showers of rice fell on the happy couple as they left the church and drove to the residence of the bride's father ,wherealarge company of relatives and friends were assembled to partake of the wedding breakfast.Jn the afternoon tho newly married couple drove to Maslerton and thence took train to Eketahuna-i This morning they reached their new, homeatPahiataa where Mr Lumley is to take charge of Messrs E, Fair' brother and Son's new store,
