HUNTING.

A very successful meet was held at Kuratawhiti, Qreytown, yesterday afternooo, at which there were about twenty followers. Several spills nmused the on-lookers, but were not attended with serious results. A hound was run over and killed. At a meetingofthe Steeplechase Stewards held subsequently, after considerable discussion, Messrs 6. Tully, Pilnier, A, Toognod,' and MoKemie (Sec) wore' appointed a deputation to wait on the stewards of the Wairarapa Racing Olub, with a view of pursuading them to sHer'their decision not to allow the Hunt Club to use theircourse, I for races oi the 7th Juno. The Olub wtßh to hold the meeting on thalith July, as earlier the principal horses will be otherwise engaged. Failing the W. 8.0. rescinding theirdecision, the Taratahi-Curterton course will probably be used. Some discusaion ensued as to the membarsbip arreari, and it was decided not to issue member's racing ticket until their sub' ■oription is paid. Another meet was held it eleven o'clock this morning over the same ground.
