CARTERTON.

Friday, The residence of Mr W. P. Mason, at Clareville, was completely burnt to tbe ground at about two o'olook yesterday afternoon. A piano and two chairs were the only article saved. I understand that tbe building was insured.
A smart frost was experienced here this morning.
