FEAHTERSTON NOTES.
(From Our Own Correspondent). The Wairarapa Hunt Club held its | third meet yesterday afternoon. The throw off was from Mr W. Hodder's, the first run being across Messrs Rodder and Barton's properties to thfi dairy, and back again by a circuitous route, tho time being about three quarters of »n hour. A large number of spectators watched the proceedings. In the first run there was only three spills. Mr Yallance's " Frisco " got caught in a barbed wire through an outsider coming sidoways on against him, the horse being a bit cut about on tho hind legs. The Deputy-Master (Mr J, Tully) also came down, but on his feet " Dobut" getting caught in a wire, and " General Gordon " managed to put Mr B. Dawson off. Before leaving Mr Hodder's three cheers were given for Mr aud Mrs Hodder for their kindness in preparing a luncheon. The second run was a short and quick one from Mr G. Pharazyn's across Messis Burt's, Murray Jackson's and Nix'B properties, and out on to the road near the Camp. In the second run there was only one spili, Mr Bughes 0n"M.8.," through the horse baulking at a gorse fence. Tho drag was laid by H, Hughes on " M.8." Amongst those following tho hounds were R. fioake (Huntsman) on" Tomboy"; J. Tully (Dept. Master)," D. but"; O. Pilmer, ".Dandy"; A. Toogood, " Pacific"; R. Welch, "Two-Up"; C. Phamzyn, "Titus"; C.Ramsden, "Tairai"; W, Hodder, " Yogel"; B, Dawson, " General Gordon", O, A. Yallance, "Frisco"; B. A, Hughes, "M.8."

The working, beo to gravel the sohool playground, which wassuggested'at the las: Committee meeting, is working hard to-day, eight carls being at work. Great credit is due to thoso engaged on this much needed work.
Wo are to be visited by the AnnieBtandt Comedy Company on Saturday and Monday evening, We are gettirf? quite gay here, and now that ihe winter is coming on anything in the way of amusement is gladly Tfelcoined.
