ARREST OF A LUNATIC.
Some little excitement was caused this afternoon about two o'clock by the arrival at the Mwterton Police Station of a supposed lunatic from Castlepoint, in chargo of Constable Collerton. Interrogated by the Sergeant, the man, who gave his name ns James Olsen, said he had a very bad memory and did not know whero he had been. He believed he had come from Tcnui. He
further stated that although he had taken some liquor he hud not been | drinking heavily. Constable Collerton says he does not know the man very | woll, but Ito arrested him yesterday,] owing to his strange behaviour. He believed he had been in Wellington district for about seven days, The accused admitted that.hti had been in the ffunny Side Luoaiio Asjlum, and he will probably be brought up
before the Court this afternoon to give an account of himpelf. He is badly dresßsd anil has no boots.
