It was resolved to record the fact on the minute book and refund the amount when the Ward was in funds. Ifc was resolved to put on a permanent man to keep the road iu order.
Messrs Perry Bros, called on the Council to clear the goree off the train road, Taratahi, in front of their property, to prevent on to their land. They ad, at great expense, cleared the gorse from their property. It was resolved to give notico to laud owners in the Boad District to clear the gorse in front of their sections. The offer of Messrs Burke and Aigyle to do certain work on the Mangatereie road was accepted at £9 10s. • Mr Miller, the warden, was authorised to get the bridge over Makaka Creek repaired. Other wardens were authorised to expend small sums in repairs. TLe overdraft was stated at £I2U, and accounts amounting to £305 were passed for payment.
