NORTH WAIRARAPA, BENEVOLENT SOCIETY.
Monthly Meetiny,
The regular monthly meeting of the above Society wae held this morning. Present—Meßara R, T, Holmes (in the' Chair), W. H. Beetbam, W. Perry and R.D.Dagg.. TREASURER 1 ! REMRT. The Treasurer reported a credit at date of £B2 8s 2d, against which petty cash amounting to 111 sd, and outstanding accounts amounting to £871517 d havo to be debited. ESTIMATE. TLo statement, of receipts and expenditure for the year was preseuted, and it was finally decided to apply to the United Hoard for the sum of MSO for the ensuing year, REMEf, Several casual cbbos were relieved during the month, the Beoretary's 'action being confirmed, A large numoer ( of private reports by the local polioe and from Wellington and Eketahuna, were dealt with 'by the meeting. BEDOCIION OF BXPENOITURE. It was resulted to inform the local contributing bodies that the application to the U.D.C.A. Board had been further reduced by £SO for the ensuing year. BEODLAB OASES., The regular oases were ordered, to be continued till next meeting. CASUAL CASES The Trustees expressed the opinion that'while they did not begrudge assistance to the old and sick, the Secretary should in no case to afford aid to young strong able-bodied men, and they were also determined not to support the members of any f ami!" capable of earning their own living"
