A case which conveys a warning to persons not to make too haßty bargains at auction sales, was heard in the Magistrate's Court before Mr Martin, R.Mjon Monday afternoon. An express, man named Lyons had put a horso up for sale, and it was knocked down by the auctioneers, Cuningham, Badham & Co, to Cfosari Pierotti, a fishmonger, for £5 5s After the sale Pierotti wanted a a trisl before taking delivery, having heard that the horse was a 'jibber.' A trial waß rofused, and Pierotti declined to pay ovor the money The animal was detained by the auctioneers until the following stile, when it was again put up and sold for £4.
