The.Seoretary of the Hawke's Bay Association wrote recommending that a Conference should; be held in reference to the holding of Bam Pair's, a uniform scale of charges, and method of conducting the same, STOCK COKFEBBSOE. Resolved that Messrs Stuokey and Lowes be delegates to the Conference.' GENERAL COMMITTEE. E, McKay forwardod his resignation as a member of the Committee.' -Accepted. • " Messrs Sykes and G. H. Welch were appointed to fill vacanoies on the General Committee.; MEMBERS, Mr A, A. Elder wrote, forwarding his resignation as a member of the Soeiety.-Aocepted. The Secretary (Mr V 7. The Secretary said that complaints had been made that the horse parades were fixed ton late this year,, On the motion of Mr T. P. Lett it was decided that the parade in connection witli the Ilaßterton Society be held on next sale day, September 2Mb.
JUDGES. After some' disoussion Mr Hesaey moved und Mr D»gg seoonded that the two judgo system be adhered to. Mr F. C. Lewis proposed as an amendmentandMrCameronseconded, that the one judge system be adopted, The amendment was lest, It was derided that several gentlemen be written to re acting as judges, OArALOGUES, The question of printing the catalogues was left in the hands of the Secretary. NEW MEMBERS, The following new members wera elected:—Messrs Jno. F, Graham, A. Matthews, 0. Pragnoll, H. Remington, A. Thompson and Puhara Te Tau. The meeting then adjourned.
