London, Juno 1, i Tho South Australian Government has remitted sufficient money to pay the interest on all its loans till the end of tho year, June 2. Tbo Times suggests thatthe banks should allow tho gold now on its way to go to Melbourne, instead of stop- ' ping it at Colombo, in order that it may be available in Sydney if required, It considers, however, that tho situation is improving in both cities. At a meeting of depositors in the London Ohartared Bunk of Australia it was mentioned that according to the report of directors the advances made by the Bank in Australia spread over 4205 accounts, averaging £1847. The largest advance was nearly £200,000. The depositors approved tho principle of reconstruction. At a meeting of the shareholders of tho London Chartered Bank of Australia, tho reconstruction schome which was cabled on Tuesday last was unanimously approved. Brisbane, June 8, The Bunk Bill has passed both Houses and received the Royal assent,
