Tijuru, Wednesday. The only two cases at tbo. otiminal sessions of the Supreme Court were
that of an old offender named Martini who bus spent the last eight years in gaol for successive convictions for forgery, who pleaded guilty to. forging and uttering three valueless cheques, and was sentenced to four years penal servitude, and the case of two boat* mon charged with stealing stuff salvaged from the ot £2B. After a day's trmllJfiy were acquitted; the defence being that the artieles were given them by the manager of Ihe operations, One civil case is to be heard, claiming £725 for slander, libel, and malicious prosecution.
