All the northern rivers are in floodi and muoh damage has been done to maize at Clarence, while at Tweed nearly all the early maize haa been ruined.
Reports from Toowoomba state that the water is receding at Ipswioh, though it is still at a high level. It is believed that 22 lives have been lost, but nothing definite can bo ascertained till the floods subside.
