Invehcaroill, Tueßtlay. Gtftvo fearß aro entertained at Lake Te Anau for tho safety of Quentin MoKinuon, the well-known guide and explorer, who first discovered the track from the Milford Sound to Te Atmu. Ho left tho foot of tho lake on tho 80th November, and was last soph at a station half way up,the same day, His intention was to go to Milford and return immediately, which .would not occupy more than ten days, A search party left Te Anau on tho 28th December, and has just returned without finding any trace of MoKinnon, though tlwy wont right through to Milford, all the chief camping grounds being visited. Another party goes out at onco to search the upper reaches of tho lake,
