MASTERTON ROAD BOARD.

Ordinary, Monthly Meeting. The ordinary monthly meeting of '''■ the Masterton Boad Board was held at the County Offices, Masterton, on Saturday last. Present: Messrs W. Eeetham (ohairman), D. M'Konzie, W. Harris, and T.W. Wardell, A. request was read from Mr T. R, Barrer, as lessee of section 83, Block m IV, Miki Miki, that the formation of Kiriwhakapapa Eoad should be extended by about twenty chains to give proper access to his property. MoKenzie, J, P. and A. lursen, B. Eagle, and T. Jensen praying that the Board raise a loan of £SOO for widening the bridle (rack on Dorset's Road and md extension,

The Board resolved that the thirds from sections 9 aud 7, Block IV,, Mikimikij be not allocated till the question of adjustment of the boundary between tho Maunceville and Masterton Road Districts is settled;; also that the thirds from A. and R Willi's property should be paid to the North Wairarapa County Counoil. Mr John W. Gibson wrote, calling attention to the stats of the road between Brancepeth and Wildfell. He-solved-That the Engineer be instructed to havo the road made passable at at cost not exceeding £5. Tho Finance Committee's report was adopted recommending the payment of accounts amounting to £95 0s lid.

Tho Engineer was instructed to examine the Kuamahunga ford at Wardell's crossing and report on cost of improving and making tho samo safe for traffic.

A special ordor striking a rato of 1 l-20th pence in the£, for the Kiriwhukapapa was passed. It was decided to direct the Engiu* cer's attention to the swamp in front of Mr Harris' property and to (ho holes and rough places in tbe Upper OpakiKoad from the sohoolhouse northwards.

It was decided to furnish tho petitioners for repairs to tho West Bush Bond with a copy of the Engineer's report and estimate of the work. The Engineer was directed to. attend to a slip on Dorset's Boad.
