"Art is long and time is fleeting. It may not be fur long that Messrs ijcouliar and Ohiaholm, of Wellington will offer such bargains in the matter of furniture as they uow hold forth to our readers in their new advertisement. Ahouse may be thoroughly and tastofully i furnished for from 115 10a, to £(io 10a, Such opportunities only occurr once in a lifetime; therefore, grasp time by tho forelook. Unlike "Punch" in bis cele« bratod advice to young peoplo about to marry we say "Do," and send to Messrs Bcoullar and Ohisholm-when you have settled the preliminaries. They will very soon and very cheaply fix up a happy home for you. We have received from Mr T, 6. Masun, of Masterton, an interesting little pamphlet dealing with parasitic diseases in sheep and lambs and hiving particular reference to that certain preventive and specific, "Lan»atone'a Verroifugo and Bronchoiino," Tho little work may be obtained gratis from Mr Muson, and stockowners should make a point of perusing it, Pahiatua really must be booming, and although the maiu street is three chains wide, a certain member ot the Borough Council thought it necessary, at the last meeting, to move that owners bo informed they must not leave vehicles on the mam street-.

Modern science and modern ingenuity have done muchtn improve upon old time methods and appliances, though there remains yet a vast deal to discover and elaborate before an absoluto pitch of perfection can bo reached, Let us take, for instance, tho last quarter of a century of our oxißtence and noto what wondort'ul discoveries and invontiona havo been wade in tho modes of locomotion by land and soa. Now we have railways running at the enormous rate of spued of sixty miles an hourand over, ocean steamships, veritable fluating palaces, rush round the world, cleaving the ocean at tho rate of 400 miles a day, and cable messages are flashed from tho uttermost countries of the earth and replies received befuro tha dawn of a day has faded into the shades of evening. Then there is the phonograph and the telephono and other marvellous discoveries in electrical science, tho future developments of which wo are beginning to see only faintly. Luxuries and necessaries from the furthermost parts of the earth aro brought easily and cheaply to our vory doors. But more especially mußt ne marvel when we tlunk that so much skill, knows ledge, and trouble is expendod in perfecting for ordinary consumption such an everyday articlo of use as ton. Teas are brought from India, China, and Ceylon, and by a sories of experiments the growths of these countries aro combinod in one blend, In which the particular delicate flavours and aromas of each are concentrated into one delicious mixture. Such are the teas of tho KinpiroTea Company, of which Messrs W. and G. Turnbull and Co., of Wollington, are the proprietors, and which haye by their ekilful and judicious treatment acquired a reputation of enviable high-standing, We would direct attention to the firm's striking advertisement 011 our first page, with a word of advice for all to "taste and Bee "for themselves,

It is meet aud right that a" King" should have ijewels and gold in plentiful profusion and theseour" King" has,—but what' is more, he is willing and ready to: part with them at reasonable and moderate pricos, which kings as a rule are not anxious to do,
