GREYTOWN PROHIBITION LEAGUE.
A meeting of tho Greytown Prohibition League was held on Wednesday night, the 27th instant, in the Council Chambers, Mr R, 0. Black being in the chair, The Secretary slated that since last meeting the membership had doubled, there being now forty-seven members,
The election of officers then tool place with the following result ; Presidont, Mr Geo, Wyett; VicePresidents, Messrs Black and Hillier. Secretary, Mr T. J. Rowso; and Treasurer,Mr R" G. Thompson, General Committee Mesdames Thompson, and Hawke, MissP, Rowse, Revs. T. B. McLean and, \V. Rowse, Dr Spratt and Messrs A. L, WobstorandW, L Tate.
It wbb resolved that tho League meet on the last Monday in every month .in the side room of the Forester's Hall at 8 p.m. A special general meeting will take place on Monday, October lOtb, at 8 p.m.
A vote of thanks to the cliaii terminated tho meeting.
