MASTERTON ROAD BOARD.

Adjourned Meeting.

An adjourned meeting of the Masterton Road Board was held to-day [Saturday). Present: Messes Bee:ham, Harris and Wardell, Tho following resolutions were passed

Thata goneralratoof onehalf-penny in the pound be struck over the whole District for the year ending on the

81st March, 1898, payable in one instalment, at tho office of the Board, on tho 22nd September, 1892,

That B, Costello be authorised to impound Block found straying on the fenced portions of the Wangaehu road. That tho Board is prepared to renew the guarantee to indemnify the Crown in respect of any compensation demanded and awarded, if the warrant to take a road through the Weraite block is exercised.

That the attention ol the Govern* went be directed, through the Member for tho District, to the necessity for amending the provisions of law relating to tho eradication of noxions weeds,

That the Clerk be authorised to obtain from Mr E, Anderson a tracing of the plan of property lately owned by Mrs Jinnoth, That the Clerk be authorised to

prepare a voucher for part payment of cost of survey of road through the Weraito block as soon as the Assist' ant-Survoyor-General has acknowledged receipt of the plan of same,
