FEATHERSTON NOTES.

Tlie Juvenile Oddfellows hold a very successful and enjoynble social last night. There were about 200 children present, besides a large numjyt ber of parentß and friends, The Committee ot boys, under the direction of Mr M.Tait, worked so energetically for the last few woeks that there was ft most liberal supply of refreshments and other necessuries. Besides dancing the other amusements of the ovening consisted of recitations by Bros. Fife and McLennan; songs, choruses, and a pianoforte trio by Sir Butcher's pupils, and a cornet solo by Mr Maguire, Thero were several visitors from Groytown and oil the surroundine districts. At the finish of the programme most of tho children went home while tho parents and others in the gallery were invited to come down to have a few dances and to partake of tho refreshments which vajc so liberally provided, Dancing to kept up till 1,80 a,m, this morning whed the company dispersed and went homo thoroughly satisfied with he whole entertainment.
