Mr J, lorns' Stock Report;
Mr J. lorns reports at his fortt nightly stooK sale last Saturday; CsMlp, with the exception of beef, were well represented, and rates a trifle firmer. Dairy stock were not first class, prices ranging from £8 for old to £slos for young cows. Steers, yearlings, and calves sold freely. In sheep the competition was keen for good classes, best ewes in iamb ranging from Us Gd to 14s 9d; aged ewes, 8?; poor hoggets, 6s Gd to 6s 9d; fat wethers, lis. In horses a great many offered, but only a small number changed hands, the best in draughts making £22; light harness, £l2; saddle horses, £3 to £7 Ids, I Me to report the following sale duringWe week to Wairarapa olients :—SOO hoggets at 9s; 80 head of beef-bul-lockß, £6 15s to £8 7s 6d ; cows, £5 5s to £6, or about 20s and 18s per lOOlba respectively; 50 young steers at £2lßs 6d.
