The report of tho Town Clerk upon the private streets in the Borough was read, The Mayor thought it would be advisable to hold a special meeting to consider the question of private streets, A Bill naming streets desired to be taken over might be passed through Parliament, Cr Dixon referred to Kirton and other streets in Dixon's estate.

It was decided to bold a special meeting of.the Council next week to consider the question of private streets, Iho balance-sheet, as printed, was adopted, TREE-PLANTING. The Mayor stated that Mr Eenall was desirous of planting his property with trees, He would do so if the Council would boar part of the cost,

After some further discussion the resolution was put and carried, Cr Gapper being the only dissentient,
