Inaugural Meeting.

Wellington, Tuesday, The Wellington Liberal Association held an inaugural meeting last night, Mr J, H, fleaton (President) occupying the chair. The following resold tions were passed:—Moved by the Hon W, P. Beeves and seconded by Mr Sandford, M.H.H., "That the principles and objects of Liberal Associations and organisations are worthy of the support and assistance of those assembled at tho present meeting." Moved by Mr D. Pinkerton, M.H.R,, aud seconded by Mr McLean, M.H.8.," That this meeting heartily endorses the land, financial, and labour policy of the present Government" Moved by Mr Hogg, M.H.R., and seconded by Mr Joyce, M.H.R., " That the meeting recom- « lends the advisability of all profeasig Liberal principles joining the Association and endeavouring to spread its influence in every direction posssible."
