MASTERTON.-TUESDAY. (Beforo Colonel Roberts, 8.M., and 8,80y5,J.P.) CIVIL OASES. T, E, Price v. Ranginui Kingi.— Claim, £5 10s. Judgment for Hie jjm, amount claimed, with Court costs 10s and counsel's fee 21s, C.A. Pownall v, C, Stewart.— Claim, £ll, for balance of account duo. Judgment for the amount and - costs, Lowes & loms v. Kohea Tahana,— Claim £8 Ms 2d, Mr Bunny for plaintiff, Mr Beard for defendant, The sum of 9s was paid into Court in full satisfaction of the claim, a set-off of £7 having been put in. This case was one in which interest was disputed. Mr Lowes deposed that in his accounts he oharged interest. Evidence as to the set-off was given by the defendant, who stated that he had paid £7 for a piece ot land purchased nt auction, for which he bad not received a title, He had since purchased a horse for which he was now being sued. Mr Lowes, on oath, staled that he had never been applied to for the return of the £7. The Official Assignee, who sold the land, was responsible for the title. The Bench reserved their decision.
