The Stewards of the Wairarapa Rooing Olub mot at the Empire Hotel, Peatherston, on Saturday. Thero woro eight present, .with Mr W, 0. WiN liains in the ohair.
' The thanks of the Olub were voted to the Chairman for presenting, and to Miss Dodds for embroidering the monogram upon a beautiful silk starter's flag, ■• ;■ The Treasurer reported a oredit balance of £lool6s 9d, the net profits over the last meeting being £20718s Gd. Stakes to the amount of £520 ware ordered to be paid over, and the sum of £5 votod to Mr ft. McFarlane, the Handioapper. The enquiry into the running of Oomet in the TauherinikauStakos was not dealt with, Wi Hutana withdrawing his protest. The following resignations of membership were received;— Messrs W, E. and 0. B. Bidwiil, WiJEiatana, P. R Tancred, Fenwick, and G. fljJßt-. berg, On the motion of Mr Alfred Matthews, seconded by Mr George Reynolds, it was unanimously resolved that the Secretary write to these gentlemen and ask them to re-con* eider their decision,
It was resolved to hold a one day's meeting on Easter Monday and give £B2O in stakes,
