A meeting of tho Executive Com-, raitteo of the Farmer's Alliance, Ltd., was held in the Oompany'a premises atWatorloo Quay on Tueadaylast, There were present—Mc Martin, (Chairman),"Mr Baker, Mr Whitcombe, Mr Phillips, and Mr Gardner. Mr L, 0. Williams, of Chriatchureb, who had been appointed manager, was also present, and was introduced to the members. Mr Williams reported that he hid received a very favourable offer from the New Zealand i-iirmer's. Co-operative Association, Ohristchuroh, for the disposal of any wool going forward to London this season. Some little business .ha/t already been transacted; there •$ been consigned and were now initio store about 85 bales or wool, and advice had beeu received of niore coming forward, besides a quantity of grain which had been consigned and disposed of at satisfactory prices, Certain alterations in the premises were suggested by Mr Williams, bub were still under his consideration. The directors expressed a hope that the shareholders would support tho management by, doing all their business with the company, Only by so doing could the success of the company be ensured, notwithstanding whatever efforts could bo put forward. The seal of the Company was affixed. to tho skftro certificates and the saina ' were ordered to be delivered to the shareholders, The manager was appointed public officer in terras of the Land and Income Tax Assessment Act,
