Mr J. lorns reports at his ipontpiy stock sals last Saturday bpth sheep and cattle were v*ell represented, In sheep full rates were obtained, with good enquiry. Jn cattle, beef receded in price, but stores were about last sale rates. Horses entered in great numbers, chiefly hacks, but in this class there was no sale, but draughts sold at fair figures. 2-tooth shorn wethers, lis; shorn ewes and lainbs, lis. Beef, light bullocks, £5 ss; light cows, 80s; store steors, 80s; smjtll cieers, 50a to 60s; yearlings, 40s'; "Store cows, £Cs to 655; dairy cows, only ordinary, 60s to 3%; draught horses, inferior class, £lO id £l4; horse, cart, and harneßS, £25.
