Messrs Hounslow and Hoar's Establishment
The establishment of Messrs Hounslow and Hoar, situated in Queen-street north, is now one of the most elaborate furnishing warehouses in the district. A new work-room, 80ft by 20lt, has just been erected by Mr Michael Williams, and in it all kinds of furniture is being manufactured. The room is well ventilated, and in its construction the convenience of the employees —six in nut mber has not been overlooked. Adjoining this room is the lathe department, in which is fitted up machinery of the most modern labour-saving description. The upholstering department, which is in front of the work room, is filled will all kinds ot material so indispensible to this branch of the trade, and is under the supervision of a thoroughly competent upholsterer. Then comes the show room, which is both a( tractive and capacious, in which every kind pf furniture is shown to the very best advantage, Here may be seen telescope tables, round tables, side» boards, conches, chairs, dressing tables, wardrobes, mirrors, Japanese! blinds, etc., etc;, of every conceivable I design. The front shop, which iB of good dimensions, is also replete with furniture and house furnishings of the j most handsome kind, whilst the windows are well illuminated, and enable a first-class display of the goods to be made. It is needless to State that Messrs Hflunsl'ow a.nd Hoar ape in a position to compete in the njatter of prices yjtl} ny f|rm iij the distinct, whilst the quality of their wgik cannot be beaten in the colony. The firm is an enterprising one, whose business is daily increasing, and with the accommodation now prjvided the management is in a position to supply, with the greatest facility and despatch, apd fyk the most reasonable rates, every article connected yjth the trade. The public will do well to pay a visit of inspection to the warehouse before making their purchases elsewhere.
