Upper Taueru Road Board.
The ordinary meeting of the above Board was held on Saturday, November 7th, 1891. Present: Messrs C. E. Co<jkburn-Hood (Chairman), J. Miller and J. P. Perry, The minutes of the brevious meeting wera read and con filmed. Correspondence —From Mr G. S. W. paYrymple, stating '.hat section 109, B IV and VII, been sold to Mr Geo McKay,'and i a statement of the amount of ral,es owing 911 the fiifoperjiy. From Mr J. \yingate, asking for some repairs to be done to jjis track up tlje river, as jn sgyeraj pjaces it i§ dangerous for travejlerg pwng to broken culverts and slips.
From Mr J. Rutherford, asking that some repairs be done to his track to enable him to get out his wool. From Mr Peraton, through Mr Perry, requesting that tbe roadmsn be sent to cotaplete the work prontfsec! to '. Mr Perstoh. It was resolved that the roadman proceed to Mr Persian's as soon as the work now in hand is finished • tnat the repairs to the track' be done as requested by Mr Eutherford and that the sum of 10s be granted for sledging the timber for the culverts to its destination; thai the repairs to Mr Wiugate's track be done as requested; that Mr McKay haying offered the sum qf £$ townrds the cost ot falling the scrujj 00 the Mungeraj Road line, the Qoard wi)l giant the sum of £§, Mr Mclfay undertaking to interview the settlers on this line and endeavour *.o raise eufficient funds to tali the scrub one chain wide right through from section 109 to section 14G and report at the next meeting which i will be held on the first Saturday in I December 1891.
