FOOTBALL.

[By Diogenes.]

The return match between teams representing Eketahuna and Opaki was played on the Worksop road ground on Saturday, and resulted in an easy win for the latter by nine points to love. The Opaki team was much the stronger of the two, and from the commencement of the game it could be seen they had it all their own way. Their opponents, however, played very pluckily throughout, and several times looked like scoring. The game was a fast one, and necessarily rather rough. The most conspicuous players for the winners were T. and W. Welch, C. Bannister, Day and the Holmwoods, and for their opponents Hunter, Foden, Pelling and Woolf.
