PIGEON MATCH.
A pigeon match in connection with tho North Wairarapa Gun Club was fired in the yards of Messrs Lowes & lorns, Renall-st, on Saturday last. A stiff breeze was blowing throughout the day, and the shooting was as a result, not particularly good, Fiye matches were fired, about twenty members competing. The following are the winners of the various matches:—First mntch (tenbirds), twelve competitors, Mr Meredith, 8 birds, 1; E. Chamberlain, 5 birds, 2. Second match (three birds, first miss counting out) — 0. Battes, 1. Third match (five birds), A. Reside, 1. Fourth match (three birds), E. M. D. Whatman, 1. Fifth match, D. Anderson, 1.
