Freeman R. Jackson & Co. report as follows :—Fat cattle came forward in moderate numbers at Johnsonville, the quality being fair, and weights variedj bidding was dull at the outset, but improved after a few lots were passed in, which on their re-appear" ance made enhanced values ; the bulk of the entry, howeyer, remained on hand for private treaty. Sheep, in the average supply, were well com« peted throughout. The better class of bullocks made £7 to £7 17s 6d, medium £Q 15s to £6 17s 6d, indifferent £5 10s, equal to 17s 6d per 1001b. Sheep—Wethers 17s lOd to 19s Id, others 17s 3d to 17s8d, eweslss lOd, shorn eweß 10s lOd. Pigs insufficient for quotation.
