DOBSON-KENNEDY CO.

Tie Siaughrauii.

The fifth and concluding performance of the popular DobsonKennedy Company, given in the Theatre Royal last evening, was, from both a managerial and public point of view, a decided success. The audience was, with one exception, the largest of the season, and testified its appreciation of the efforts of the company by its frequent and loud applause. Thepiece produced," Conn, the Shaugbraun," is a favourite one with Masterton audiences, and the manner in which the various parts were sustained last evening reflects the greatest credit upon the company by whom it was produced, The life and soul of the whole piece was of course the inimitable " Conn," who was faithfully represented by Mr .J J. Kennedy. The acting of Mr Collet Dobson in the charaoter of Robert Ffolhott was a treat to witness, whilst as Claire Ffolliott Miss Lily Hill was both graceful and pleasing. Miss Idrene Thornton assumed the part of Moya Dolan, Conn's sweetheart, in her usual happy style, whilst Miss May Vernon did full justice to the character of Arte O'Neal. Mr Frank Norton as Captain Molyneaux, Mr Harry Saville as Father Dolan, and Mr W. E. Jermyn as Corry Kinohella were each very successful in the pourtrayal of their respective parts. The whole of the minor parts were also well taken, the performance being highly appreciated by the audience. The company appears at Greytown to-night in " Current Cash."
