DOBSON-KENNEDY CO.

Current Oash<

The Dob3on-Kennedy Company scored another brilliant auccea.s in their production of that thrilling military drama " Current Cash" in the Theatre Royal last evening. The audienco was not only large, but unusually demonstrative, their appreciation of the piece being testified in a marked manner hy their frequent calls ot the performers before the curi tain. The heroine was impersonated by Miss Idrene Thornton in a most clever manner, whilst as Delia dial is Miss Lily.Hill was equally The acting of little Euby Kennedy in the prologue was creditable indeed, her charming though childlike demeanour gaining for her the highest encomiums. In the interpretation of her part Miss Mary Vernon was also successful. As Mark Milton Mr Collet Dobaon made a decided hie, and •was frequently applauded. Mr Kennedy as JLiincoln Green was in his right place, and afforded no end of amusement by the idiosyncracies of his important character. Mr Jermyn pourtrayed the part of Challis in an exceedingly olever manner, whilst ad Private Bowles Mr Cimpbell was in himself a rare artist. The part of Henry Chafferton was well taken by Mr Frank Thornton, and altogether the piece was a genuine dramatic treat.

The company concludes the first portion of its season to-night with "The Shaughraun," Mr Kennedy taking the part of the inimitable "Con."
