Masterton Hospital.
The monthly meeting of the Hospital Trustees wbb held on Thorsday afternoon in the Council Chambers. Present: Messrs J. C. Boddington (chairman), J. B. Keith, and Rer. W. E. Paige. An apology was received from Mr B. P. Perry. The minutes of the previous meeting were read aud confirmed. The Treasurer reported a credit balance of £2Ol Is 2d. The Hospital diary was read to the meat* ing, and the custodian's report showed ten patients in the Masterton Hos» pital at that date. It was resolved that the ordinary meetings be held on the second Tuesday in each month inßtead of Thursday as at present. Mr. G. 8. W. Dalrymple was appointed a Trustee to fill the vacancy caused by flr* resignation of Mr Joseph lorns. The question of patients' feeß in arrear was discussed and in a number of cases the Secretary was instructed to take immediate action for recovery. The following accounts were passed for payment:—Jas, Stone, £4 6s; H. Janes, £1 17b 6d; Walter Perry, £8 18s j W. Praognell, £3 9s ; M. Caselberg, £3 6s 8d ; Chamberlain Bros., £8 15a 8d ; J.Duthie and Co., £6 19s 6d; Geo. Johnston, £7 14s lOd ; C. Smith & Co., £2 2s; R. Hannah & Co., £2 2s; H. E. Eton, £4 16s 3d; R. T. Holmes, £1 Is 6d; Lowes & lorns, £2 12s 6d ; C, E. Daniel], £2 18s 6d; Small accounts, £1 5s 6d. The question of erecting a new ward at the Hospital for chest complaints, recommended by the Medical Officer, was disoussed, and adjourned for future consideration. Mr B. P. Perry was appointed visiting member, and the meeting closed.
