the 7th of May and the 30th of July very little redaction had been made in the number of rabbits. The past has been an exceptionally good at season for the taking of poison by rabbits. I visited the property of Mr O'Connor, adjoining, and found that there had been a very satisfactory poisoning there, and very few rabbits remained. By Mr Beard: The rabbits have not decreased generally. This is my first appointment under the Rabbit Board, but I have previously had experience in destroying rabbits. Mr Elder appeared to be quite satisfied with the grain he was using. The rabbits were numerous on adjoining properties, but no information to my knowledge has been laid against the —owners. By Mr Bunny : I have been superintending the work of poisoning Crown Lands, and have also poisoned at Annedale and Brancepeth. Inspector Mackay alto gave evidence. Mr Beard submitted that the information was bad inasmuch as certain superfluous words had been inserted. The Bench upheld the contention j #Mr, Beard, and the case was missed. j
