The Trial of A-2. Ifou.
Chrißtchoroh, August 18. The jury in the case of Moss, charged with the attempted murder of his wife, after being locked up all night, failed to i&ree, and were discharged. The second trial jb now proceeding, r^ Later. The Becond jury in the Moss case, after one hour and twenty minutes' retirement, returned a verdict of not guilty on the ground of insanity. Moss was ordered to be confined till the pleasure of the Colonial Secretary is known.

Campbell comes by the Monowai as the accredited iepresentative of the United States Go., verntnent to interest Australasian Colonies iu being efficiently represented at the World's Fair, Chicago. He proceeds to Wellington to interview the Government, and travels the colony, afterwards proceeding to Australia.
