(Per United Press Association). Tie Picturesque Atlas OasoiWbllington, Thursday. The Picturesque Atlas cases have been adjourned by counsel for a fortnight. Supreme Court. Wellington, Thursday. In the Supreme Court to-day the application for a rule nisi, calling upon the chief gaoler to show cause in the case George Albert Tapper, bankrupt, sentenced at Palmerston North to six months imprisonment for not keeping books, was granted, and will be argued en Wednesday next.
Pahiatua Relief "Works.

The Government have granted the request of the men on the relief works near Pahiatua to bave sn in* dependent survey of the work done, they alleging that the measurement of the Government officer is incorrect.

A sharp earthquake shock was felt at nine minutes to two this morning, like a quick jerk from West to Eadt. Two less pronounced shocks have been felt at intervals during the last five days.
A Will Case. Dunedin, Thursday. Judge Williams delivered judgment in the will case, Kerr v Keddie, which Bought to upset the will on the ground J undue influence. Judgment was ven for defendant.
