MASONIC BALL.
The annual gathering in connection with tie Masterfion Masonic Lodge, N.Z.0., was held in the Volunteer Drill Hall last evening, and notwithstanding the fact that it followed closely upon the Volunteer ball, was# thorough Buccesa. The attendance was exceedingly large, yisiting brethren being present from all parts of tha district, about a hundred couples occupying the floor. The arrangements were of a most complete character, the decorations being similar to those of Friday evening, whilst the floor was in capital condition. Excellent was provided, and dancing was kept up merrily till the early houra of the morning. The catering, which was undertaken by Mr VViokens, was all that could be desired, and the refresh' ments dispensed were done the fullest
justice to. Ihe following gentlemen acted as M.O.'s :—Bros. J. Aitken, D. Guild, W. Cullen, P, Dickson, 0. A. Pownall, J. A. M'Keneieand T.E. '
Price. At intervals during the even* ing the proceedings were diversified by the rendition of Bongs by leading vocalists.
