ENCrLXSB. London, July 2. The Prince of Naples, heir to the throne of Italy, will arrive in London on 22nd July. The signatory Powers to the AntiSlavery Protocol are postponing the time within which the agreement must be ratified, to enable France to re-consider her determination. Tit Bits and the Strand Magazine are being floated by the proprietor, Mr Newnes, into a limited liability company with £400,000 capital. The shares will be reseryed for those in the bookselling trade. Obituary—Mr R. H. Major, the literary antiquarian. July 3. The Emigrants' Information Office at Westminster is issuing warnings to emigrants who propose to go to the Argentine territory. Mr W. G. Clapham, a colonial recently deceased, has bequeathed the sum of £BOO,OOO to charities in Great Britain, Tasmania, and Victoria. He, however, stipulates that Romanists are excluded from participation. The Duke of Clarence and Avondale will spend the next hunting season in Ireland.
