TROTTING CLUB.

A meeting of those interested in the formation of a Trotting Club in this, district was held in the Club Hotel on Saturday evening. About thirty-five were present, and the chair was occupied by Mr W, R. Bone. On the motion of Mr F. Hill it was decided that a Trotting Club be formed, to be called the ««Masterton Trotting Club."

The names of sixty-two persons were hauded in for membership.

Mr W. R. Bone was appointed Seoretary to the Olub, and Mr C. A. Pownall Treasurer. It was decided to bold another meeting on Saturday, May 2nd, when the Metropolitan Rules will; be submitted and officers elected.
