PAHIATUA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.)
The Pahiatua lawyers have as usual been amusing themselves and their audiences with a little playful badinage at the recent Court sittings. W ill they ever improve ? Messrs J ones & Hunter have taken their coaches off the Woodville-Eketa-huna line, and Messrs Young and Peters have amalgamated. The latter probably furnishes the reason for the former.
Yet another firm are advertising their intention of applying for a slaugbterhouss license. Messrs Robertson and Gowe, of the Mangatainoka, propose starting a butchery business shortly. Their place of business will be olose to the bridge store.
